Overview
In the world of hackathons – where caffeine is king and sleep a myth – TRAVIS was born. Short for Traffic Real-time Assistance Via Internet Services, it started as a sketchy idea and ended up winning Ford's International Hackathon in 2017. Built to assist pedestrians, drivers, and passengers, TRAVIS turned traffic chaos into calm using real-time data and smart design.
Impact
Grand Prize: Won Ford’s Hackathon with a $15,000 cash award.
Bonus Wins: Took home Best Student ($3,000) and Best Concept ($1,500), totalling $19,500.
R&D Offer: Earned an opportunity to work with Ford on real-world traffic safety solutions.
